The Rotary club of Pencarrow has a number of projects running:

• Trees for survival
• Safer Eastbourne homes for the elderly and those at risk (Eastbourne Volunteer Fire Brigade - Smoke Detector Installations)
• RI Student Exchange Basil Connor - exchange with an Australian student
• RYLA candidate Abbey Hayden nominated for 2009

and others are in the planning stage.

We have recently made donations to:

• ROMAC for surgery for Pacific Island children
• Womens Refuge Lower Hutt
• Te Omanga Hospice
• Eastbourne Youth Worker Trust
• Muritai School ($1,700 raised with BBQ at Ballinger Park)
• Eastbourne Volunteer Fire Brigade (Instant Hot Water unit)
• Peter Taylor (Eastbourne's Olympian rower)
